Our chalet is in the cyclists’ paradise: small circular rides for cyclo-tourists or challenging climbs to the mythical mountain passes, there is something for everyone. Cycling lovers, whatever your objective, come and spend a few days cycling on the routes of the Tour de France.

If you are a trail runner, you can discover a multitude of tracks around the chalet. The vertical km is a short distance from us (see more), or one of the local orientation courses (see more).

The possibilities right from the front door are numerous, there’s no need to take the car. The Grand Chatelard is right behind the chalet (2143m) or the ridge walk which goes all the way to the Croix de Fer mountain pass.

These will relax you after a tiring day of activities with a view of the Aiguilles d’Arves.

Since 1890 Opinel has made the manufacture of penknives into an art. St Jean de Maurienne is the home of the large museum (700m2) dedicated to the history of this famous Savoyard knife invented by Joseph Opinel.

Jarrier is near to several ski resorts. The nearest is Les Bottières where the car park is free and next to the lifts (ski map). We are also 10km from La Toussuire which offers 310km of ski runs in the Sybelles ski area. For ski lessons we suggest the service of our partner, the ESI ski school in La Toussuire (more info).

There are numerous possibilities for ski touring around the chalet : Le Grand Chatelard (2143m) info skitour, the Col de Cressua (2065m) or Crêt Massuet (2173m). For other tours easily accessible from Jarrier, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Several sign posted paths leave from right near the chalet, pleasure and atmosphere guaranteed.
